Jodi began working for Cascade Health in 2015 and became manager of the counseling and employee assistance program in April 2019. She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Jodi specializes in the treatment of anxiety, communication, anger management, blended family issues and relationship conflicts using cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness-based therapy. She is also trained in cognitive processing therapy for trauma. In her free time, Jodi enjoys reading, practicing yoga, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie Evans-Wondra, LPC

Stephanie holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She enjoys working with people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, while understanding that people are doing their best with the tools they currently possess. Stephanie is adept at working with couples and helps couples resolve issues and move forward in their relationship. She has experience facilitating training workshops and has previously worked with the United States Army to provide training to military dependents through their Army Family Team Building program. In her free time, she relishes being with her family, reading and laughing with good friends.

Tibor Bessko, LPC

Prior to joining Cascade Health, Tibor worked for 17 years with adolescents and families from diverse backgrounds as a school counselor. Tibor is an IFS certified counselor who incorporates client-centered, trauma-informed and solution-focused approaches. In his spare time he enjoys biking, spending time outdoors, taking walks with family and friends, and bird watching. Tibor works with adults and adolescents.

Gretchen Carmack, LPC Associate

Counselor

Gretchen holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She works primarily with children, but also enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Gretchen is experienced at using play therapy to foster healthy social-emotional development in children through exploring emotions, developing coping skills, and building resilience. Her integrative approach incorporates person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing with her pets, reading, and road trips.

Kyra Freeburg

Counselor & Leadership Coach

Kyra works in dual roles as both a counselor and leadership coach. After 15 years working in the tech field, Kyra completed a master’s degree in counseling, a field she's now worked in for 20 years. She believes in collaborating with her clients using a person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach. She helps clients to gain self-awareness and self-acceptance, and identify unhealthy old patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. Kyra enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors in search of more balance, healthy boundaries, and self-compassion. In counseling and coaching, she helps clients address anxiety, life transitions, depression, grief and loss, relationship struggles, communication, skill building in emotional intelligence and career development. She enjoys reading, nature walks, writing and spending time with friends exploring Oregon.

Shannon Gentry, QMHP

Professional Counselor Associate

Shannon holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She sees couples and individuals ages 12 and up, but she says her favorite group to work with is teens and young adults ages 15 to 25. Her priority is to provide a safe space for clients to feel heard, seen, and respected. Shannon believes the client is the expert of their own life and enjoys facilitating clients’ growth and understanding of themselves and their environment. Her clinical approach incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (trauma therapy), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Feministic counseling. Shannon also recognizes the value of spirituality in healing and will work with her clients to incorporate any faith-based discussions of any religious leaning at the client's request.
Shannon works with clients experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and LGBTGEQIAP+ concerns. Shannon practices gender-affirming care and is a member of the Society for Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE).
In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, saving small towns from goblins and orcs in Dungeons & Dragons, and finding ways to try and get more pets into her house.

Sarah Cordua, LPC Associate

Sarah worked with individuals and families experiencing crisis for over a decade before deciding to obtain her master’s in counseling. As a registered associate counselor, she provides cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic counseling, and brief-strategic interventions for individuals and family units wanting to address anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, codependency, and grief. She works with children, adolescents, and adults in a strengths-based way that emphasizes each person’s innate ability to discover and determine the direction of their life.
Outside of counseling Sarah enjoys running process groups for parents, advocating for universal human rights with community agencies, and learning about research-based practices that promote wellbeing. She enjoys board games and lively discussions with family and friends as well as spending time outdoors with her children and pets.

Ruby Hillcraig, CSWA

Counselor

Ruby is a dedicated therapist with a master's in social work, who enjoys working with adults, couples, and families. Her practice philosophy centers on the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives, and she employs a person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy. Ruby is committed to providing everyone with a tailored therapeutic experience drawing from a holistic, multidisciplinary approach. With a specific passion for supporting individuals facing chronic illness, Ruby is driven by helping clients accept and integrate their condition into their lives.
Born and raised in Eugene, she is deeply committed to making a positive impact in her local community through her therapeutic work. Outside of clinical practice, Ruby enjoys hosting gatherings for family and friends, spending quality time with her dogs, and running a local flower truck business, reflecting her love for nurturing connections and fostering positivity in both personal and professional realms.

Susan Isaacs, LCSW

Susan has worked at Cascade Health Counseling & EAP since 1997. She provides guidance for conflict resolution and organizational development, as well as critical incident and grief debriefings in the workplace. She is a mediator, trainer and facilitator. For 16 years, she was the bereavement and volunteer coordinator for Cascade Health Hospice. She has extensive experience providing bereavement support and grief counseling to children, adults and groups. She visits worksites to help groups of both employees and supervisors respond to the news of a death of a colleague or family member’s diagnosis with a terminal illness.

Lori Kievith, MBA

Leadership Coach

Lori joined Cascade Health in January 2022 as a leadership coach. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and prior to joining Cascade Health, worked in municipal government for 32 years in finance, administration, recreation and management. Lori has also served in several nonprofit roles at residential day camps and local churches. Her passion is helping supervisors and employees improve their relationships and helping workplaces become more productive. Lori also enjoys helping clients with career planning, conflict resolution and stress management. Outside of work, Lori enjoys camping, world travel, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Ann Kloos, LCSW

Ann has practiced clinical social work for 25 years. She began her career in Boulder, Colorado working with clients with chronic pain and mild brain injuries. She has experience with young adults, adults and seniors. She has been a contributing member of multi-disciplinary teams responsible for direct service and program development. Work settings include inpatient psychiatric hospitals, mental health centers, addiction recovery centers and the justice system. She is skilled in treating trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety and life transitions.

Jennifer Moorhead, LPC, CADC

Jennifer is a licensed professional counselor and certified drug and alcohol counselor II, with more than 25 years of experience in these fields. She works with children, adolescents, adults and seniors individually. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, trauma, grief and traumatic brain injuries. Jennifer’s therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy and systems therapy. She has a master’s degree in counseling and educational psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from the University of Nevada, Reno. She received her undergraduate degree in behavioral health and science from the University of Utah. Jennifer has always made spending time outdoors a priority. When not working with clients, she enjoys playing with her family and animals, birdwatching, hiking, playing board games and reading.

Nikkie Mosalik, QMHP

Nikkie is a student intern who believes each person has an innate ability to grow, transform, and heal and is committed to providing a trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming space. She incorporates somatic therapy, mindfulness, and adventure-based counseling with clients to cultivate resilience and collaboratively discover their authentic selves. Nikkie works with adults with anxiety and those who have experienced trauma and adversity. In her spare time, Nikkie enjoys hiking, pottery, and knitting.

Christina Pecue, QHMA, CADC1

Peer Support Specialist

Christina brings her personal experience with mental health issues around anxiety and depression as a peer support specialist along with the skills that have transformed her story to one of recovery. She brings her knowledge from personal work, training, and certifications in CBT, DBT and Mindfulness to share as needed in supporting another in their journey to well-being. She believes that each person will have their own path and vision of what their own healing looks like. Christina has found that a relationship built on respect, understanding and trust will facilitate mutual learning, growth, and change for both parties.
Outside of Peer Support, Christina provides group facilitation, workplace interventions to support teams, workplace wellness trainings and workshops, and supports individuals and companies during times of crisis.
In her free time Christina finds relaxation through creating art, reading, time with family and cat, being in nature and a playful game of tennis.

Sarah Jane Petersen, LCSW

Counselor

Sarah Jane has worked as a clinical social worker since graduating with her master’s degree in social work in 1994, minus the few years she stayed at home to parent her young twin daughters. While her girls were at South Eugene High School, Sarah volunteered in the Career Center as a college and career counselor for 4 years. She has extensive experience working with end-of-life issues in palliative care and hospice. Sarah Jane enjoys working with teenagers, young adults, and adults facing life transitions, including people who identify as Queer (LGTBQIA+). She uses a client centered, trauma informed, strengths-based approach to help people discover more about themselves, create healthy boundaries and develop self-compassion. She also facilitates a cancer support group. She is trained in Hakomi mindful somatic psychotherapy, these principles of loving presence and mind-body holism inform her counseling work. In her free time, Sarah Jane enjoys reading, dancing, yoga, camping and exploring the beauty of Oregon.

Wendy Popp, LPC Associate

Wendy holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Wendy strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel inspired to share about their current and past experiences. Using person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapies, she helps client gain insight and empowerment in discovering their best self in an environment emphasizing empathy and positive regard. Wendy works with adolescents, adults, families and first responders. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, self-harm, mindfulness, relationship, and family issues. During her spare time, Wendy enjoys hanging out with her family, especially her grandkids.

Anjali Smith, MFT Associate

Anjali provides a warm, accepting, supportive and open environment to encourage personal growth, awareness and mindfulness. She enjoys helping clients empower themselves to become more resilient and believes everyone deserves to have healthy and productive relationships with themselves and others. She enjoys working with families and individuals but has a passion for working with active duty and retired first responders and their families. She has a solid understanding of the challenges first responders face both on duty and at home. In her spare time, Anjali enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking and exploring the outdoors.
